How do we establish the MVP?

MVP is calculated by the number of points earned divided by the number of points available (PA).

*Ties will be broken in the following order: the total number of matches played, win percentage, performance points, lifetime win percentage.

*Players must play 6 matches with their team before becoming eligible for MVP standings and awards.
The MVP Program is also broken into several tiers based on players’ skill levels. Make sure you are looking at your individual skill level tier when locating your individual standing.

 What does the MVP get?

Besides bragging rights, each session, the top player from each Skill Level Tier in each division will earn a patch. The top 2 players receive a $10 voucher towards any singles board and an invitation to compete in an MVP Tournament. Players must have met the minimum match requirements and be registered for the following session to receive their award.

MVP Tournament: The MVP Tournament recognizes individual players who perform in the top of their Skill Level Tier each session. Skill levels will be divided into three tiers: Tier 1 = skill levels 1, 2 and 3; Tier 2 = skill levels 4 and 5; and Tier 3 = skill levels 6 through 9. Any player that plays a minimum of seven matches within the regular session and meets the match requirements of 10 lifetime matches within the last two years will be eligible for the MVP Tournament.

There is no entry fee. The winner of each tier will receive a free cue stick. Players will compete in a Single Elimination Tournament with normal APA handicap race.
